On October 7^th and 8^th the Main Stage of the National Theater will host the premiere of her newest stage production – Vazov’s People by Alexander Sekulov – the first premiere of the new theatrical season, dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the death of the of the “People’s Poet”. Earlier, on September 22nd, the audience will be able to observe an open rehearsal of Vazov’s People within the scope of the initiative “Theater in Front of the Theater”.

Diana Dobreva will direct Vazov`s Balcony with an all-star cast in the National Theater

The National Theater stage director Diana Dobreva, winner of Askeer 2017, Askeer 2019 and IKAR 2021 Best Director awards, starts rehearsals of a grand production dedicated to Ivan Vazov – the eponymous patron of the theater. The text is by author and playwright Alexander Sekulov, winner of Askeer 2016 and Askeer 2019 awards for contemporary drama. The rehearsals for Vazov`s Balcony are beginning and the cast includes 27 of the most renowned actors of the National Theater troupe: Yulian Vergov, Vladimir Penev, Valentin Ganev, Valeri Yordanov, Ivan Yurukov, Darin Angelov, Deyan Angelov, Zafir Radjab, Lyubomir Petkashev, Stoyan Pepelanov, Stefan Kushev, Dimitar Nikolov, Vasil Draganov, Stelian Radev, Plamen Dimov, Konstantin Elenkov, Blagovest Blagoev, Yavor Valkanov, Joreta Nkolova, Eva Tepavicharova, Vasilena Vincenzo, Bilyana Petrinska, Alexandra Vasileva, Paraskeva Dzhukelova, Milena Atanasova, Albena Stavreva and Irina Miteva.
