About
Diana Dobreva, Bulgarian theatre director, decided to tell the story of Medea’s long descent to hell. There is no doubt she wanted to show better the many faces of this mythical character. She tried to unveil the enigma of what makes you kill your own children. In her spectacle she mixes different points of view about the myth, combining texts by Ovid, Euripides but also Müller, who “felt the depth of the tragedy” as the director says.
